where's the sofa?

I think we'd all agree that the bouncy booths at Sushi Rock were fantastic last year; however, it was time to return to NYE dinner at Abuelo's. They put us out in the open this time so Chris had to keep his "Bed Bath & Beyond" stories to himself!

Adorable... but where are the smiles?!?

Grandma (Grand Marnier) and Bubble (Three Olives) helped to get the NYE festivites started... This photo works since Aaron had a glass in front of his face most of the night anyway. ha!

Post Grandma and Bubble... here are the smiles.

Based on recent events, we all had an idea of what was in store for the night and many changed once we got home... I promise, we looked mighty dapper for dinner.

Todd and I don't share Schal well so we had to have separate photos. I have to give it to her - she has continued to be harassed since the "sleepy time" of NYE 2008, but she came through this year and even joined the dance party. Who am I kidding - she led Thriller!

As 2010 got closer and closer, I realized how many New Year's Eve celebrations we have had together and had to grab the album. We've come a long way since NYE 00' at Holiday Valley.

I was having so much fun that midnight snuck up on me... my guys came through and had the champagne lined up just in time. They even found the snowflake glasses for Todd and I to use - I love our friends.

Happy 2010 from Todd and Garrett! Nice angle, Clay... somehow, Todd is the same height as Grahamnation :)

Laura (and James) were new to the event this year - after this showing, I can only hope they'll be willing to join ever again.

Fast foward a bit into the night. I'm not sure what exactly was said here, but I like to imagine that it sounded a bit like this: "Christopher, you are absolutely not permitted to do any flips and land on the sofa... you will also not get so caught up in the dance party that you decide to take your skills out into the snow - do you understand?".

Given the entertainment value, we can all remain thankful that Chris didn't heed the guidance of Schal in my "pretend script" above. Based on what I heard (I missed it), Chris did indeed do some flips and managed to not break himself or the sofa. It was at that point that Todd opted to move both the glass table and sofa into the foyer. I was pretty surprised to find this when I returned.

Oh wait, he didn't listen about dancing outside either! I hope our neighbors got to enjoy this.

While not the best, this will remain one of my favorites because I didn't know Chris was outside. Clay snapped this photo and I didn't notice Chris until the next day.

This is the look of too many choices at the bar and too little time.

Someone eventually found the mullet stash... poor James didn't know what hit him - he apparently wanted his "party" in the front.

Thanks for being the photographer, Clay... oh, and for being one of the best friends I could ever imagine as well.

I adore Clay so much that I'm not even upset he took this photo of me napping with Fuzz during the New Year's Day football games. I think they wanted me to wake up so I could refresh the food! I'm just lucky they only snapped a photo.

According to Schal...

3 years makes a tradition,
jamie.
