that's a nice shirt, Todd...

The tC sleigh is loaded... thanks to some "flat bow" action for 2009, things should remain relatively in tact for the trek to Columbus.

One slight detour on the way... Pei Wei of course! Thankfully, the company and food was enticing enough to lure Auntie Karn out for a Christmas Eve Eve dinner.

What could Sue have possibly said in order to get this reaction from my mom but a smile from Karen? You simply can't buy this kind of entertainment.

I thought I wouldn't be lucky enough to get everyone in one house Griswold-style until little ones were in the picture... 2009 was the year! What a perfect Christmas Eve and Christmas morning - everyone was at the Musacchio house including Buoy!

Christmas Eve, I decided to sport my new tent bootie mules... little did the ladies of the house realize that they would soon each have a pair (pre-labeled with initials, of course).

A few months ago, my dad visited and said... "that's a nice shirt, Todd". More surprises - he had one to match as of Christmas morning! Even my dad wears Threadless.

The pups fully enjoyed the festivities... Emma was back into her ways of stealing Buoy's bone away in no time.

Ski resort towns have provided the perfect grounds for buying Kristen gifts... thankfully, Park City continued this trend and the bracelet Todd & I found there looked as perfect as we had hoped it would.

I wasn't the only one to pull off a few surprises and Kristen wasn't the only one to get a gift a la Park City! Todd tracked down a ring I found while we were there earlier that month. I honestly didn't think it was an option for Christmas - he managed to beat me at my own game and I was so very happy to let him do so!

Unfortunately, because the ring is wood I couldn't get it re-sized and it wasn't exactly the size ordered... before I sent it back to get a new one, I snapped a photo to keep me company while it was away.

The install came a bit after Christmas, but it was well worth the wait. Dad made this vanity as the final touch for our recently remodeled master bath. It was the perfect gift!

As if we didn't have enough stuff in the car on the way home, we decided to stop by Oakland Nursery before heading back to Cleveland. Instead of sale ornaments or plants, Todd found this unlikely friend - unfortunately, he didn't fit in the tC sleigh and had to be left behind.

missed out on the photo op with Doug and his soundseat,
jamie.
