we love our dads...

Let's just get it out there... my birthday took over yet another special day - Fathers' Day - but only for a bit! Sue and Doug drove up for the weekend and surprised me with an ice cream pie since I was in full wedding mode on the actual day the weekend before.

It was tough to stop Dad from doing what he does - the man is a machine and wouldn't rest until our garage was back in business... it went through a bad phase post deck build. He also helped us get the birds set up in even better style (more on that soon) - we now have 5 feeders and the flying pigs are simply stepping up their game.

Saturday night, we treated the guest of honor to a nice Italian meal at Casa D'Angelo - he even liked that sauce - that says a lot! Such a cute Mom & Dad...


Sunday, before they headed back, we took a short hike to Brandywine Falls...


and thanked Doug for being such a great Dad!


A few phone calls were made to another fantastic Dad over the weekend - he was rewarded with some quality time spent on Lake Erie and some funds to burn at West Marine...
