We weren't too sure about it, but when I found a deal for a weekend package at Kalahari in Sandusky, we had to try it out. The weather was terrible outside so the ropes course/zip line wasn't the best... the animal safari made it worth stepping outside of the indoor tropical oasis. Several times we wondered if people thought we had kids around somewhere - really, no one cared. This place caters to people who want to relax - they know how to take care of adults, big time. The adults only outdoor hot tub was about 10 times bigger than the one at the Peak and had a swim up bar. They know what they're doing.
Todd could barely pull me away from this Kookaburra ... so very awesome. His song sounded just like a person laughing which then made me laugh and the cycle went on for a very long time.
The little axis deer had my heart too... this one gave me kisses.
It was then time to return to the luxuries inside... like cookies as big as your head. It may have taken the entire weekend, but we knocked these things out like champs.
Don't judge my cookie even though it is going through a bit of an identity crisis. I think this was called a pizza cookie... chocolate chip with peanut butter and then chopped up bits of just about every candy bar on the market along with m&m minis. Yep.
For the record, I did not try this.
