237 revamp

It was time... we've had the house about 5 months and just about everything was just perfect. It was quite disturbing when one headed to grab a drink at "237" (our bar) since the kitchen still displayed the terrible style of the old owners. Dad Holobaugh spent some quality time with his new son and installed a tile back splash. Tile by tile the kitchen became wonderful. Mom washed the tiles off as I obsessively plotted the back splash on the counter. No worries - I then followed up their work and quickly covered the last remaining yellow-ivory paint.

The final touch on the bar was to give it a sign... a real sign. Dad was good for that one - he continued to amaze us with his "we'll just move the outlet" tile solutions and "we'll just put the transformer in the wall" sign solutions. He's a genius, we're hard workers and now our kitchen/bar is fantastic.

Still have a bit of yellow paint hiding out in the laundry room... and a brass monstrosity hanging in the foyer... in time, in time. Until then, flip the switch - it's time to open 237.

Cheers Toddy - Thanks for the help Mom & Dad!
